This page describes what data LTCue and the LTCue website (ltcue.app) collect, how it's used, and your rights regarding it. LTCue is operated by Brendan Lyons (the "Developer", "we").

1. Data the LTCue desktop app collects

LTCue is a desktop application that runs locally on your machine. It does not transmit your show files, cue lists, timecode data, or any audio to the developer or any third party.

The app makes outbound network requests in only the following situations:

  • License validation: at startup, LTCue contacts api.ltcue.app to validate your license key. This request includes your license key, app version, and operating system. Once validated, LTCue caches the result locally and continues to function offline.
  • Update check (optional): if enabled in preferences, LTCue periodically checks downloads.ltcue.app for newer versions. This request is anonymous.

No analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting data is sent automatically. Crash logs are stored locally; you may attach them to a support email at your discretion.

2. Data the website collects

The LTCue website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare logs standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not run additional analytics, ad tracking, or third-party tracking scripts on the marketing site.

3. Data collected at purchase

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing address, and payment information to process the transaction and comply with tax law. We receive your name, email, and order details — but not your full payment information. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to data they collect.

4. How we use your data

  • License key: to verify your purchase and enable the full app.
  • Email: to send your license key after purchase, to send release announcements (you can opt out at any time), and to respond to support requests.
  • Order details: to honor refund requests and provide receipts.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond what's listed above.

5. Data retention

Order records are retained as long as required by accounting and tax regulations (typically seven years). Email correspondence is retained while your license is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for support continuity.

6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email support@ltcue.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Third-party services

8. Open-source software disclosure

LTCue uses the following components under their respective licenses:

  • PySide6 (LGPL v3) — Qt for Python application framework. Project
  • libltc (LGPL v3) — SMPTE/LTC timecode encoder/decoder. Project
  • PyInstaller (GPL with commercial exception) — application bundler.

Per the LGPL: you have the right to obtain the source code of LGPL-licensed libraries, and to replace them with modified versions. Source is available at the upstream URLs above. For assistance, contact support@ltcue.app.

Full license texts and notices for all open-source components — including additional MIT, BSD, and Apache-licensed libraries — are available in the LTCue application under About → Licenses.
